A new Norwegian escape

An old fishing village, above the Arctic Circle.

Lofoten Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination in Norway's arctic fishing islands, where sharp granite peaks rise straight out of the cold sea and clusters of red timber cabins on stilts, the old rorbuer, ring the harbour. Ox-blood red, slate blue, sea teal and pale driftwood run through the whole casino hotel, built over the water among the working boats.

Watch the boats come in with the catch as the light turns. Hike a sharp island peak in the endless summer day. Then step in off the jetty into our adults-only casino salon, warm and low against the cold arctic sea. Everything in this casino hotel keeps the plain, weatherworn character of the fishing village it was built from.

Havn Restaurant

Straight off the boats.

Our signature restaurant works with the arctic catch landed a few steps away—cod and the famous winter skrei, halibut, king crab, stockfish in the old way, and cloudberries and rye from the mainland. The fish is hours old, aquavit is poured ice-cold, and the room sits right over the harbour a few steps from the casino hotel lobby.
